Neil Brown Engineering developed the Honda Civic Type-R race engine to compete in the 2002 BTCC and achieved a number of podium finishes. Since 2002, extensive development increased the engine performance to the extent that it powered to victory in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. The current S2000 specification is proving to be a championship contender.
