DTM

After initially being commissioned to improve Abt Sportsline’s DTM engines for the 2001 season, resulting in a huge performance gain and a first Abt win in DTM, Neil Brown Engineering designed, developed, manufactured and built a completely new DTM engine for the 2002 season. This new engine helped Abt beat the factory Mercedes and Opel teams to become 2002 DTM Champions. We then enjoyed a further four DTM Championships with Audi in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

We designed and manufactured nearly all of the engine components in house, and our extensive facilities enabled us to meet tight deadlines and react quickly to customer requests – an essential requirement in the motorsport industry.

The DTM engine has to be optimised around a strict set of regulations, and our vast experience in developing this type of engine enabled our engine to be competitive from the starting grid to the finishing line.
